The learner will be tested on his/her ability select appropriate glassware, balances, time measuring equipment, and optical instruments to conduct an experiment including:

• describing the steps of the scientific method
• comparing controls, dependent varialbe, and independent variable
• identifying safe lab procedures when handling chemcials and using bunsen burner and lab glassware
• using appropraite SI units for measuring length, volume, and mass.
